One of Manager Howard Kendall’s most influential signings for Everton, Andy Gray joined the club in November 1983 from Wolves in a £250,000 transfer. In two seasons with the club, Gray won the FA Cup in May 1984, scoring at Wembley in the 2-0 Cup Final win against Watford, and a year later, he was a key member of the Everton side that won the League Championship and European Cup Winners' Cup, Gray again scoring in the Final, a 3-1 victory against Rapid Vienna in Rotterdam. Gray left Everton on 10 July 1985, returning to Aston Villa in a £150,000 transfer deal.
